Abstract
Background: Handling BPH can be done one of them Transurethal Resection Prostate (TURP) the most common surgery performed to overcome prostate enlargement. This surgical action is chosen because it has minimal effect when compared with other types of surgery. In RSUD Prof. Dr. MagonoSoekarjoPurwokerto for 3 months ie January - March there are 32 patients who performed TURP surgery. TURP surgery procedure creates a surgical wound that will release the pain mediator and cause pain after surgery. General Purpose: Describes nursing care of benson relaxation therapy for pain reduction post-surgery TURP Results NursingCare: The assessment was done to four post-operative BPH patients in alloanamnesa and autoanamnesa, then physical examination and support were performed. From the data analysis obtained the authors draw the conclusion of priority nursing problems is acute pain. Before and after benson relaxation technique, pain measurement was performed with numerical pain intensity scale. The author performs a benson relaxation technique during pain duration 15 minutes, After the action of benson relaxation technique on the four post operative patients TURP effective benson relaxation techniques to reduce pain postoperative TURP experienced by patients. Conclusion: Provision of effective benson relaxation techniques to reduce pain.
