Abstract
Background: Cerviks cancer patients often experience anxiety caused by changes in health status and first chemotherapy measures. Objectives: Analyze nursing care with anxiety disorder problem in cervical cancer chemotherapy patients to- 1 at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Results of nursing care: Anxiety experienced by patients due to changes in health status and the first chemotherapy action. Nursing actions that have been done on the five patients include a calming approach, digging anxiety levels, teaching relaxation techniques, and encouraging the family to accompany patients to reduce anxiety. Patients experienced severe anxiety as much as 5 respondents (100%), after the relaxation therapy anxiety decreased in moderate anxiety category as much as 2 respondents (40%) and mild anxious counted 3 respondents (60%). Recommendation: Progressive muscle relaxation is an exercise that is performed by tightening and progressively relaxing a group of muscles in one part of the body sequentially from head to lower body, the purpose of this relaxation is to reduce anxiety experienced by cervical cancer patients with chemotherapy.
