Abstract
Background: Oxygenation is the process of adding oxygen in the body is done naturally by breathing. System body whose role is the respiratory system. When oxygen is taken into the body is not enough or obstructed will interference on oxygenation needs one of them on airway clearance. To handle necessary measures to overcome the interference of the airway, one of them by way of pursed lips breathing technique. Purpose: The author is able to provide a snapshot of nursing care to the fulfillment oxygenation problems with impaired airway clearance in patients with bronchopneumonia. Discussion: Problems that arise are nursing ineffective airway clearance and knowledge deficiency. Intervention and Implementation already done one of which is taught to cough effectively, teach breath in the exercises, discuss the level of understanding of patients and families, providing health education about the disease of bronchopneumonia, but it also found innovation to overcome the problem of clearance of the airway that is by techniques pursed lips breathing. Conclusion: Evaluation conducted over three days, on priority issues, namely ineffective airway clearance is by way of an effective cough and breathing techniques pursed lips, the outcome of patients are able to do effective cough but not optimal because not familiar. Airway clearance ineffectiveness problem is not resolved, because patients with disease of bronchopneumonia takes time intensive to overcome these problems.
