Abstract
Background: Fluid and electrolytes need are very important human basic need. Some complication may occur if these needs are not handled very well. They are dehydration, hypoxia, metabolic acid leading to death. Objective: to describe nursing care of fulfilling fluid and electrolyte need to Mr. R in Dahlia Ward, Dr. Soedirman State Hospital of Kebumen. Discussions: Analysis of focus data on May 31, 2016 at 10:00 am showed that there were patches of patient’s skin, red color and itchy. The value of 60 platelets 10^3/ul. Interventions and implementations were monitoring signs of bleeding and platelets’ amount. Results: The evaluation showed that the risk of bleeding was resolved. There were no hematuria and hematemesis as well. Giving palm juice was given as innovative treatment.
