Abstract
Background : Maternity pain is a pain that accompainies uterine contractions, this pain comes from the movements of the uterus that tries to get the baby out. The most dominant pain is felt at the first moment. Some factors that affect pain are emotions, culture, past experience and support system. Deep back massage is one of nonpharmacology therapy which serves to relieve muscle tension and give the sense of rilex, blood circulation becomes smooth, so the pain is reduced. Purpose : The purpose of this paper to know how much the influence of deep back massage on five patients and to give the description of nursing care result against pain problems patient in primigravida mother when the first moment of maternity. Result : From five patients performed nursing care with deep back massage technique showing that deep back massage create less pain. Conclusion : Deep back massage is an affective technique to reduce first moment maternity pain.
