Abstract
Background: Patients with BPH In their treatment requires surgery, surgery or surgery is an important step in health care, which aims to save lives, prevent disabilities, and complications. Several responses from surgery, the patient may experience panic, fear and anxiety, fear alone / crowd, sleep disturbance / insomnia, cold sweat release on hands and feet, patient can not calm, concentration and memory disorders, numbness or tingling On the hands and feet, blood pressure increases, the heart beats faster, increased breathing, headache, nausea and vomiting or even indigestion. The signs and symptoms that appear above are the psychological response of anxiety. Objectives: Describe the results of a combination of deep breath relaxation therapy and music therapy in preoperative anesthesia of BPH in Teratai Room RSUD DR.SoedirmanKebumen. Method: Case study of five cases using descriptive method. Results of nursing care: Increased ability of deep breathing relaxation and music therapy in all patients as much as 50%. There was a decrease in signs and symptoms of anxiety in the five patients, from mild anxiety, the highest decrease in anxiety experienced by patients P1 from score 26 to 8. Recommendation: Music therapy can be applied in Teratai room RSUD Dr.SoedirmanKebumen on preoperative patient anxiety.
