Abstract
Background: Online games are well likes by all walls of life, including children. The use of violent media such as online games in the long run is very much related to the aggresive tendency of children. Objective: To know the correlation between intensitas of playing game online and aggresive behavior on children at integrated Islami elementary school Ibnu Abbas Kebumen Method: This research use correlation description method with cross sectional approach. The sample in this research is 72 students taken by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive anf correlative analysis using Kendall Tau test. Results: This study resulted in the finding that most children with moderate online game playing intensitas (66.7%). Most children with moderate aggresive behavior (59.7%). Conclusion: There is a correlation between intensitas of playing game online and aggresive behavior on children at integrated Islami elementary school Ibnu Abbas Kebumen (p-value= 0.005). Recommendations: Further research is expected to examine other factors that influence student's aggresive behavior such as psychological, enviromental, situasional, and biological factors. Further research is also expected to examine the impact of online games for students such as decreased learning echievement and sleep quality.
