Abstract
Background: The work experience of nurses who work on Intensive Care Unit (ICU) have workload and workplace stress that are different with other source unit. Beside that, workplace stress could make tired easily and impacted to emotional which able to decrease the work productivity when they give nursing care to patients. Objective: To know workload and workplace stress of nurses who working in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of dr. Soedirman Hospital Kebumen. Method: This study used analitic correlation and cross sectional approach as much 30 nurses joined as respondents take by consecutive sampling technique. Analytic data in this study used tau kendal correlation test. Results: The most of the nurse who working in this hospital have served workload and having mild workplace stress category. Conclusion: There is a correlation between workload and workplace stress in the nurses.
