Abstract
Background: Almost 90% of normal labor processes rupture in the perineum. This perineal wound is very susceptiblae to infection if it is not treated properly and it will greatly affect the healing. The application of zinc supplement and snakehead fish extract is a new innovation to accelerate the healing of perineal wound. Objective: To know the application of consuming zinc supplement and snakehead fish extract in accelerating the healing of perineal wound. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study on five participants at the independent midwifery clinic of Midwife Umi Muntamah Sruweng starting April 9 up to May 11, 2018. Result: The healing process of perineal wound done by REEDA scale shows that 2 participants are in fast category (on day 6) and 3 participants are in normal wound healing category (on day 7).
