Abstract
Background: In patients with pleural effusion prior to the installation of WSD experienced problems ineffective breathing patterns. The most effective position for clients with pleural effusion is the semi-fowler position where the head and body are raised with a degree of slope of 45 °. Objective: Describe the results of analysis of nursing care on the client with the problem of inefficient breathing pattern on respiratory system disorders pleural effusion before the installation of WSD in Dahlia room Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital Results: Nursing diagnoses that appear in the client is ineffective breathing patterns associated with hyperventilation. Action: Actions taken in handling inefficiency of breath pattern related to hyperventilation on the client, the authors do the giving of semi-fowler position. Evaluation: The results of the evaluation showed a diagnosis of respiratory pattern ineffectiveness associated with resolved hyperventilation
