Abstract

Background:Mental disorders have several types, one of which is schizophrenia. Usually schizophrenia is accompanied by delusions (false beliefs) and hallucinations (perceptual sensory disorders). Hallucination is an inability of a person to distinguish between stimuli that arise from his own mind (internal) or stimuli that appears real (external). One of intervention actions for patients with mental disorders is to provide an implementation strategy as it proves to provide understanding to the patient himself to handle or control his hallucination independently. One of the execution strategy that can be given to hallucinatory patients is to control hallucination with activity. Objective: The writing of this final scientific paper is expected to provide analysis of patients nursing care with sensory perception disorder: hallucination regarding controlling hallucination with scheduled activities. Method:This research is an analytical descriptive research using case study approach method that was done to 3 patients with sensory perception disturbances: hallucination, and had been treated for 3 days by providing scheduled activities. Results: The increased control of hallucination in Patient 1 (P1) and Patient 2 (P2)by 25% and significant decrease of symptoms in P1 (50% to be 0%). Recommendation: Nurses are expected to improve the quality of nursing care in treating patients with sensory perception disorder: hallucination, so that symptoms can be reduced and patients are able to control hallucination with the activity scheduled independently
