Abstract
Background: Pain is sensation of discomfort that Postpartum mothers often complain, such as pain. This is due to some caused: uterine contraction during the uterine involution period, breast engorgement because of inadequate lactation process, birth Canales injury, and survival incision of post-sectio Caesarea (SC). Postpartum pain Will lead to completed care for the mothers, i.e. the obstructions of early mobilization, lactation, bondong attachment process, fatigue, anxiety, disappointed due to discomfort, sleep disorder. Even of lasts in a long time, the pain Will increase the risk of postpartum blues. Therefore, the writer is interested in doing effleurave massage to reduce the pain scale of postpartum mothers using lavender aromatherapy oil. Objective: Knowing the effective RSS of back massage by applying effleurage massage technique with lavender aromatherapy oil to change of pain level of postpartum mothers. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study design. The participants were 5 physiological postpartum mothers. Data were obtained through observation, interview, documentation, and literary study. Result: After being given back massage by applying effleurage massage technique with lavender aromatherapy oil, there was a decrease in pain level of all participants (100%).
