Abstract
Background:The patients of mental disorder often receive an inhumane treatment,any violences, an alienation or bound their feet. These can be happened because of the ignorance and misunderstanding of society in tretment process to the patients of mental disorder. Objective:It is well to know the society knowledge in treatment process of mental disorder patients at Dorowati village, Klirong district. Method: This research used a descriptive method and a survey approach. The sample are 156 people taken by purposive sampling. The data is analyzed by descriptive analyzis. Results: This research has some results that respondet charecteristics in Dorowati village, Klirong district by age category > 35 yearsold (41,7%), female category (53,2%), occupation trader category (23,1%), income category under UMK(<. 1,560,000) (81.4%). Many respondents at Dorowati village, Klirong district with the knowledge of treatment to mental disorder patients has category enaugh (94,2). They have knowledge of the recovery level of mentel disorder patients with category less (56,4%). Recommendations: Nurses are expected to improve or maintain the facilities and education of society in providing knowledge about mental disorders also the recovery process.
