Abstract
Background: Perianal pain is still a crucial problem for a postpartum mother. This is because 70,9% of postpartum mothers have Perianal pain. Unresolved perineal pain can make them uncomfortable and it may cause postpartum blues, stress, traumatic, fear of injury, no appetite, insomnia, depression. Besides, it can affect the psychological condition of the mother and her ability in mobilization. Finally, it can cause complication, such as postpartum hemorrhage and discomfort. Perineal pain can be overcome by doing relaxation using lavender aromatherapy to reduce the intensitas of perineal pain. This is because anti convulsan and anti depressant properties of lavender aromatherapy can provide tranqulity. Objective: To find out the application of lavender aromatherapy relaxation in reducing perineal pain of postpartum mothers with PERINEUM rupture. Method: This scientific paper is and analytical descriptive with a case study. Data were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. The participants are 5 ppstpartum mothers. Result: There was a decrease of perineal pain of all participants (postpartum mothers) after applying relaxation of lavender aromatherapy for 7 days.
