Abstract
Background: Transvesical prostatectomy is one of the therapy to healing prostate hypotrophy that cause urethral obstruction with complications that is bleeding. Bleeding in this case can be overcome by catheter traction. The positive impact technique in catheter traction is the position of the patien”t foot. The recommended foot position is straight. Purpose: The identify relationship of traction catheter on the duration of postoperative bleeding. Method: This study used non-experimental method and cross-sectional study approach. Accidental sampling applied in this study. Result: There are significant relationship between catheter traction wiyh bleeding long period post transvesica prostatectomy with chi-square test showed p value = 0.005 Conclusion: Most range age respondents 66-75 years old was as much 7 respondents (50%), as much 8 respondents used straight foot position (57%), bleeding time period in range 12-24 hours as much 6 respondents (43%).
