Abstract
Background: In Indonesia the rate of primary dysmenorrhea incidence ia around 54.89%, while the rest is secondary dysmenorrhea. The prevalence of dismenorea of adolescents is rangking from 43% to 93%, of which about 74%-80% of adolescents experience mild dysmenorrhea. Whereas, the incidence of endometriosis on adolescents with pelvic pain is estimated at 25-38%, and on adolescents who do not respond positive to treatment for menstruasi pain, endometriosis is 67% of cases in laparoscopy (Hestiantoro et.al, 2012). Therefore, the writer is interested in applying warm-compress and lemon aromatherapy to reduce dysmenorrheal pain of adolescents girls aged 12 to 21 so as to develop the use of non-pharmacology therapy for dysmenorrhea of young girls aged 12-21 years. Objective: To know the application of warm-compress and lemon aromatherapy to reduce dysmenorrhea pain of adolescents girls aged 12-21 years. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Participants are 5 adolescents girls in the age of 12-21 years old at Tunjungseto, Sempor. The instruments used are pretest and posttest questionnaires. Result: After applying warm-compress and lemon aromatherapy, there was a decrease in the dismenorea pain of all participants. There were 3 participants (participant 1, 3, and 5) who still had a little pain. Meanwhile, the pain of participant 2 and 4 was resolved. On the second day, all participants had no more pain.
