Abstract
Background: Lower back pain is a nuisance that pregnant mothers often suffer from. This happens not only in a particular trimester, but it can also happen along the pregnancy until the post-natal period. Lower back pain of pregnant mothers can be influenced by several factors if it is combined with stretching of abdominal muscles. Those factors are changes in posture, distribution of ligaments, body gravity centre which is moving forwards. To overcome the lower back pain, the pregnant mothers in trimester III need backrub. Objective: To know the administration of backrub for decreasing lower back pain of pregnant mothers in trimester III in “Permata Ibu” clinic at Prembun, Kebumen. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through numerical scale and observation sheet. Participants are 5 pregnant mothers in trimester III suffering from lower back pain. Result: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach.
