Abstract
Background: Hypertension still accounts for the largest proportion of all non cmmunicable diseases, that is equal to 57.89% which is the top priority for controlling non-communicable diseases in Central Java. Often people with hypertension for years without feeling a disorder. Symptoms due to hypertension, such a headache, vision loss, and headache often occurs when hypertension is advanced. Non pharmacological therapies can be used to reduce pain. Non pharmacological therapy is considered safer for patient. One of the non-pharmacological therapies namely warm compresses. Objective: Analyze nursing care with the main problem of acute pain in people with hypertension in Kejiwan Village, Kecamatan Wonosobo, Kabupaten Wonosobo after the client is given warm compress therapy. Results: There is a decrease in pain scale in patients with hypertension after is given warm compress therapy. Recommendation: warm compresses are effective enough to reduce headaches in hypertension patient.
