In general, management of hypertension is divided into two, namely management with pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment. One of the relaxation therapies used to reduce pain intensity is Slow Deep Breathing (SDB). (Simkin, Whalley, & Keppler, 2012). Objective: describes the results of analysis of nursing care for hypertensive patients with acute pain in the Rose Room of the RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Method: This scientific work uses descriptive methods with a case study approach. The case study instrument used observation sheets for pain, nursing kits, and slow deep breathing SOP, lemon therapy aroma. Data obtained from the results of observation of interviews, physical examinations, and study documentation. The subjects consisted of 3 adult patients who had hypertension by nursing an acute pain Results of nursing care: The results of the study conducted on hypertensive patients obtained the main complaint data that was felt was acute pain both on the head and neck. The priority nursing diagnosis in hypertensive patients is acute pain associated with biological injury agents as evidenced in patients complaining of pain. Nursing interventions carried out are pain management with the innovation of slow deep breathing and lemon aromatherapy. Nursing implementation carried out for 3 days, namely pain management: reviewing pain comprehensively include (location, characteristics of duration, frequency). Nonverbal observation of discomfort. Monitor vital signs. Monitor the level of pain. Teach non-pharmacological techniques to reduce pain (deep breath). Collaborative administration of analgesics. In addition the authors also apply slow deep breathing and lemon aromatherapy Recommendation: It is expected that slow deep breathing and lemon aromatherapy can be used as SOP for non-pharmacological management of hypertensive pain.
