Abstract
Background: Asthma is one of the health problems in both developed and developing countries. According to Global Initiative data for Asthma report (GINA) in 2017 showed that was incidence of asthma in several countries is 1- 18% and it is estimated that there are 300 million people in the world experiencing asthma. Objective: Analyzing nursing care given to bronchial asthma patients with the ineffectiveness of family health care in Selokerto Village, Sempor District, Kebumen Regency. Results: The evaluation results of effective cough training 1 (one) times in a day for 3 days in 3 clients of asthma patients, the results showed that there was marked sputum outflow from the frequency of breath from Mrs. S 29x / minute becomes 21x / minute, Mrs. I 30x / minute to 22x / minute, Mrs. D 28x / minute becomes 20x / minute. So it can be concluded that effective cough training can help to removed sputum for people with asthma. Recommendation: Effective cough can be given to patients by being given the appropriate position (fowler) so that expectoration can come out. This effective cough is part of nursing action for patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders.
