Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition where blood flow in the artery walls increases, causing health problems such as heart problems. Uncontrolled increase over a long period of time can lead to liver and heart problems. Hypertension is a condition where the systolic and diastolic blood pressure is higher than normal and can lead to liver and heart problems if left untreated. Objective: Describe nursing care given to patients with hypertension involving Head Massage therapy to reduce high blood pressure and pain intensity. Method: Descriptive methods were used in this study, data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Respondents of this study consisted of 3 clients who experienced pain complaints and suffered from hypertension. The instrument used is an assessment or research format, tensimeter, observation sheet, baby oil. Results: After application for 3 consecutive days, all respondents experienced a decrease in pain intensity and blood pressure. Recommendation: Head massage techniques can reduce high blood pressure.
