Abstract

Introduction: The incidence of constipation in babies in 2019 was around 0.3-29% of cases, the majority of cases 24.4% occurred in babies aged 6-12 months. Constipation is caused by functional factors such as trauma from hard bowel movements, dirty toilets, or holding in bowel movements. Untreated constipation can cause Gastroesophageal (GERD), intestinal inflammation and colon cancer (Obstipation). One of the non-pharmacological treatments for constipation in babies can be done using I Love You massage therapy techniques. Objective: This application aims to provide I Love You massage therapy technique to overcome constipation in babies aged 6-12 months. Method: This implementation used a case study method. There were 3 babies client in this application. Respondents were taken based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results : The results of the application showed that before the I Love You massage technique was carried out, 2 respondents (66%) experienced type 1 constipation and 1 respondent (34%) with type 2 constipation. After being given the I Love You massage technique, 3 respondents (100%) experienced a change in the consistency of the baby's stool to type 4. Conclusion: This application concluded that the I Love You massage technique is effective in treating constipation problems in babies aged 6-12 months.
