Abstract

Background: Breast cancer (Ca Mammae) is characterized by the presence of abnormal cells that damage and destroy healthy cells in the breast, eventually spreading to surrounding breast tissue. According to data from the Kebumen Health Office, 9,329 women aged between 30 and 50 underwent Sadanis examinations, with two cases of breast cancer being suspected. Additional examinations of breast lumps further identified two cases requiring referral for suspected breast cancer. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of nursing care for patients with situational low selfesteem, utilizing a combination of generalist therapy and self-healing techniques in Ca Mammae patients, within the Inayah Ward at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: This study employs a case study approach involving five subjects, each receiving nursing care over four sessions. Generalist therapy and self-healing interventions, lasting 30 minutes per session, were applied during these meetings. Results: The combination of self-esteem assessment therapy and self-healing within psychosocial nursing care proved effective in enhancing self-esteem and promoting positive self-assessment. This was evidenced by an increase in scores on the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale among HDRS patients. Conclusion: Following the intervention, there was a reduction in symptoms of situational low self-esteem, improvement in generalist therapy skills, enhanced self-healing abilities, and a significant increase in the average Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale score from 15.6 to 35.6. Moreover, the self-healing intervention had a statistically significant effect on reducing symptoms of situational low self-esteem, with a p-value of 0.000.
