Abstract

Tablets are one of the most widelyused pharmaceutical dosage forms; however, the manufacturing process is influenced by the physical properties of the active ingredient. Paracetamol has poor flowability and compactibility, therefore the wet granulation method is required to improve its physical properties. This study aimed to evaluate the simulation of the paracetamol tablet manufacturing process using the wet granulation method at LAFI PUSKESAD during the August 2025 period. The evaluation was conducted on all production stages in accordance with the batch record, including weighing, mixing, granulation, drying, sieving, compression, and packaging. The quality parameters observed included homogeneity, moisture content, angle of repose, thickness, weight, hardness, friability, diameter, dissolution, and disintegration time. The results showed that all process and tablet quality parameters met the established standards; therefore, the process was considered controlled and met the quality requirements for pharmaceutical production simulation.
