Abstract

Background: Gastritis is a condition of inflammation or bleeding of the gastric mucosa that can be acute and chronic, so that clinical action is needed in an effort to treat the condition. The patient's chronic condition caused by gastritis inflammation can lead to the occurrence of pain. The pain felt by gastritis patients makes patients feel uncomfortable. An effort is needed to reduce the incidence of pain experienced by gastritis patients by applying non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is 5-finger hypnosis. General objectives: To analyze pain nursing care in gastritis patients with the application of 5-finger hypnosis to reduce the frequency of pain at the Karangkobar Community Health Center. Methods: This study used a descriptive case study design on 5 gastritis patients, applying 5-finger hypnosis and measuring pain with a numerical rating scale of 0 - 10. Nursing care results: Assessment of patients aged 20-30 years in gastritis patients. Diagnosis of patients with pain due to gastritis, the intervention applied is 5-finger hypnosis. Evaluation of five patients on the nursing problem of acute pain obtained subjective data that the patient said the pain felt could be reduced after 5 finger hypnosis. Recommendation: There is an effect of 5-finger hypnosis to reduce pain in gastritis patients. The 5-finger hypnosis nursing intervention innovation can later be used as an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) at the Puskesamas for gastritis patients with acute pain nursing problems so that patients are able to apply 5-finger hypnosis every time the pain arises.
