Abstract

Background: Hypertension, known as the silent killer, can unnoticed damage vital organs and lead to various complications. Lifestyle is a crucial aspect of life, leading to the emergence of hypertension, especially among those of productive age, due to unhealthy lifestyles such as excessive sodium consumption, insufficient activity, smoking, and insufficient rest. Research Objective: To determine the lifestyle and blood pressure levels of PT X Karawang employees. Research Method: This is a descriptive quantitative study. The study was conducted at the PT X Karawang Clinic, West Java, from May to June 2025, with a purposive sampling approach. The research instruments used were questionnaires, observation sheets, and a digital sphygmomanometer. Results: The majority of respondents (25) reported poor physical activity, the majority (24) reported poor diet, the majority (24) reported good smoking, the majority (24) reported poor rest habits, the majority (28) reported poor rest habits, and the majority (20) reported pre-hypertensive blood pressure. Conclusion: The lifestyle of PT X Karawang employees is characterized by poor physical activity, poor diet, smoking habits, poor rest habits, and pre-hypertensive blood pressure. Recommendations: Future researchers can conduct qualitative research to explore in more detail the lifestyle factors that influence blood pressure.
