Abstract

Background: Sectio caesarea (SC) delivery is one of the surgical efforts, namely to give birth to a fetus or baby as incision in the abdominal wall and uterine wall. Invasive procedures in the form of sectio caesarea, can cause pain that results in a person's discomfort. Non- pharmacological therapy that can be given to treat pain is by giving Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT). Objective: Describe nursing care with the application of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) to lower the scale of pain in post sectio caesarea patients. Metode Penelitian: This case study used a descriptive method. The subjects of the case study were conducted on 5 post SC patients who had problems with pain discomfort disorders and nursing procedures were performed for two days. The instruments used were numeric rating scale (NRS) observation sheets, nursing care formats and Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT). Results: The results of the assessment carried out on the five patients found the main nursing problem of acute pain. After the and Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT)., the result of the analysis of nursing action innovations (before-after) in the five patients managed with non- pharmacological and Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) on post SC mother showed that the five patients experienced a decrease in pain scale. Conclusion: The results of the evaluation of the application and Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) in post SC patients effectively reduce pain levels. Recommendation: Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is recommended to reduce pain in postoperative cesarean mothers
