Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease caused by disturbances in the cardiovascular system, particularly in the heart and blood vessels, characterized by persistently increased blood pressure. Objective: To analyze Nursing Care for Patients with Hypertension with Lavender Aromatherapy Intervention at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: The approach used in this scientific work involved case studies on 5 subjects by providing nursing care during 3 meetings. The intervention provided was lavender aromatherapy for 15 minutes at each meeting. Results: After three days of lavender aromatherapy, headaches in five patients showed improvement. Mr. H showed a decrease from pain scale 6 to 1, Mrs. S from scale 5 to 1, another patient Mrs. S from scale 5 to 0, Mr. M from scale 6 to 2, and Mr. D from scale 5 to 0. Conclusion: The administration of lavender aromatherapy to hypertension sufferers with complaints of headaches has an effect on reducing the level of pain experienced by hypertension patients.
