Abstract

Improving the performance of educators and education personnel is a crucial factor in supporting the quality of education. This study aims to determine the influence of principal leadership and compensation on the performance of teachers and education personnel in Muhammadiyah schools in Sempor District. The method used was quantitative, with a population of 40 educators and education personnel in Muhammadiyah schools in Sempor District. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, where the entire population was sampled. Data collection through questionnaires was followed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that principal leadership significantly influences the performance of educators and education staff. Compensation also significantly influences the performance of educators and education staff. Principal leadership and compensation, together, significantly influence the performance of educators and education staff. Principals are advised to implement collaborative and inspirational leadership. School administrators need to develop a fair and transparent compensation system. Teachers and education staff are expected to continue to independently improve their professionalism. Future research should include other variables such as training, organizational culture, and work environment, and expand the scope and number of respondents using mixed methods to increase the generalizability of the findings.
