Abstract
Backgound: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that requires optimal self-management skills to prevent complications. However, limited knowledge and self-monitoring contribute to poor patient self-management skills. The Klik Diabetes app is a digital innovation with the potential to support improved self-management. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Click Diabetes application in improving self-management in diabetes mellitus patients at the Gombong II Public Health Center. Methods: This study used a quantitative pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest model without a control group. A total of 45 respondents were selected using total sampling. Results: The results of the study showed a significant increase in self-management after using the Klik Diabetes application with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the Klik Diabetes application was effective as an educational and self-monitoring medium for Diabetes Mellitus patients. Recommendation: It is hoped that other factors such as motivation, health behavior, and implementing interventions with comparison groups will be assessed for more comprehensive results.
