Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with a high prevalence that requires long-term management. The Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) is a health service initiative that aims to improve the quality of life of people with hypertension through regular health monitoring. Objective: To determine the relationship between Prolanis visits and blood pressure stability in hypertensive Prolanis participants at the Buayan Community Health Center. Methods: This study used a correlational analytical approach with a cross-sectional and retrospective design. The study sample consisted of 45 respondents using total sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that the majority were over 50 years old, numbering 35 (77.8%), most had an elementary school education, numbering 30 (66.7%), were female, numbering 27 (60%), the majority were unemployed, numbering 25 (55%), and the majority had participated in Prolanis for more than 2 years, numbering 33 (73.3%). The majority of prolanis visits by hypertensive patients were active, numbering 33 (73%). The majority of blood pressure stability was stable, numbering 31 (31%). Analysis of the relationship between prolanis visits and blood pressure stability in hypertensive prolanis participants using chi square obtained a p value = 0.001 less than (0.05). Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between prolanis visits and blood pressure stability among prolanis participants with hypertension at the Bua Community Health Center. Recommendation: Further research is needed to investigate factors related to blood pressure stability in Prolanis participants, such as duration of participation in the Prolanis program, dietary patterns, physical activity levels, stress, or medication adherence.
