Abstract

Background, The background to this research is that many working mothers have not implemented the principles of breast milk production, namely supply on demand. When mothers do not apply this principle, it will affect breast milk production so that breast milk production can decrease over time. Apart from that, many working mothers do not empty their breasts while working, even though this can be done using a breast pump. Objective, to know factors that influence breast milk production in working breastfeeding mothers who use breast pumps in Kebumen Regency. Research Methods, This research is descriptive correlational research using a cross-sectional approach. The sample collection technique used is Engineeringaccidental sampling. Research Result, The results of this research are that length of working hours, type of breast pump, frequency of pumping, duration of pumping and gender of the child do not affect breast milk production with a p value > 0.05. The factor that can influence breast milk production in this study is the mother's pumping schedule with a p valuevalue0.013 < 0.05. Conclusion, The conclusion of this researcher is that what can influence breast milk production is the pumping schedule. Recommendations for future researchers, Further research is needed with tighter control of potential variables such as dietary factors, rest patterns, use of contraceptives, and breast care.
