Abstract

Background: Postpartum mothers often experience breast pain caused by swelling due to breastfeeding. To alleviate this condition, one nursing intervention used is Aloe Vera compresses, which are known to be effective in relieving pain and reducing inflammation in the breast area. Objective: To provide nursing care for postpartum mothers with breast pain, it is important to assess the pain level and implement interventions such as Aloe Vera compresses. Education about breast care and breastfeeding techniques is also essential to support the healing process and prevent complications. Methods: This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews and observation sheets. The respondents consisted of 5 postpartum mothers. The instruments used included observation sheets and the Numeric Pain Scale (NRS). Results: The use of Aloe Vera compresses for three days effectively reduced acute breast pain in all clients, showing a significant decrease in the pain scale and improving the clients' well-being during recovery. Recommendations: The application of Aloe Vera gel compresses can help reduce breast pain in postpartum mothers and should be considered as part of routine care for managing breast pain.
