Abstract

Background: Workload is the process of a person completing work under normal circumstances and within a certain period of time related to its indicators.Low back pain is pain that is between the inferior gluteus fold and the costae limit that occurs for more than one day, may be accompanied by numbness, leg pain, but does not include painful sensations associated with pregnancy and menstruation. The prevalence of lbp in Indonesia is 3.71%, in Central Java is 40%, and in Banyumas is 29.47%. Excessive workload and carried out for a long time, then over time will be at risk of low back pain, then over time there will be a risk of low back pain, Because the spine itself is stressed by heavy loads for a long time. Research Objective: To find out the correlation of the rice farmer's workload with the incidence of low back pain in Siblabak Hamlet. Research Method: Using quantitative methods with correlational design, and with a cross sectional approach. The sample size was 82 respondents, the measuring tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis using Kendall's Tau statistical test. Research Results: Showing the workload of rice farmers with the weight category of 41 (50%) respondents, and the incidence of low back pain with the severe disability category of 39 (47.6%) respondents. The results of the Kendall's Tau correlation test obtained a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), which means that there is a relationship. Conclusion: There is a correlation of the rice farmer's workload with the incidence of low back pain in Siblabak Hamlet. Recommendation: Can continue research on effective interventions to be given to people with LBP such as to take a break and stretch when the workload is felt to be heavy enough, and conduct an MRI medical examinations to find out the incidence of LBP further, and this research can be used as a theoretical basis for the research to be carried out.
