Abstract
Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for infants and is recommended for the first six months. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, one of which is the mother's level of knowledge. Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between the level of knowledge of pregnant women about breastfeeding and their readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding at the Sigaluh II Community Health Center. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design and was conducted on 62 pregnant women using total sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. Results: Most pregnant women had good knowledge 51 respondents (82.3%), and high readiness 55 respondents (88.7%). However, there was no significant correlation between knowledge and readiness (r = 0.089, p = 0.489). Conclusion: There was no significant correlation between pregnant women's knowledge and their readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding at the Sigaluh II Community Health Center. Recommendation: Future research is recommended to examine other factors influencing mothers' readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding with a larger sample size.
