Abstract
Background: The development of the first birth family is a family that looks forward to the birth of the first child prepared by a new partner or husband and wife through several important developmental task. Weaning food (MP-ASI) education is a learning to increase the knowledge of mothers and families to prevent malnutrition and provide nutritional status to children according to their ages which is benefical for baby's growth and development. Purpose of Writing: Describing nursing care by providing wearing food (MP-ASI)education therapy in the development stage of the family of the first child's bith aged 5 months. Research Method: This method uses descriptive method, data collection with interview technique and questionnares. The subject of this case study is a family of the first child's birth aged 5 months with the problem of increasing knowledge of readiness to become parents. Result of the case study: After weaning food (MP-ASI) education has been done for 5 days, the client's level of knowledge increased to 30% for Ny K's level of knowledge increased to 40% as evidenced by the Post Test Questionnaire sheet. Discussion: The application of weaning food (MP-ASI) education therapy is a learning process from those who did not know about information or about the value of health will know after the education is done. This education is given at the development stage of family with the birth of the first child. Conclusion: The application of weaning food (MP-ASI) education can increase parents knowledge which will be done or given when the child enters the age of 6 months.
