Abstract
Background: According to the SDKI (2012) the maternal mortality rate was recorded at 359 per 100,000 live births. The old part is one of the causes of maternal death and the cause of 60% long labor is inadequate discharge. His inadekuat can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the lack of food and drink intake ahead of labor. The strength of the mother straining can be more optimal by giving additional food in the form of liquid nutrients. Milk is a liquid food containing 150 kcal in 200 ml. By consuming milk, it is expected to help increase contraction of the uterine muscles, and the strength of the mother straining. Objective: To implement formula milk to accelerate labor time at PMB Tugirah Wonosari Kebumen. Method: The researcher used a descriptive analytical method with a case study approach. In this case the author describes the facts of the study obtained from interviews, direct observation, and documented. This application involved 5 participants as a case study. Results: The results of the case study show the duration of the first time in maternity mothers who carried out the application of formula milk for about 1 hour, 20 minutes to 3 hours. Long time II in maternity is carried out the application of formula milk about 15 minutes minutes to 40 minutes. Long time I and second time in maternity, the application of formula milk was carried out around 1 hour 45 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes. Conclusion: the application of formula milk effectively speeds up the time of delivery
