Abstract
Background of Study : Diarrhea is a digestive disease characterized by a liquid or a half liquid continuously. One of the plants that can be used as an antidiarrheal is avocado seed (Persea Americana mill) and breadfruit leave (Artocarpusaltilis (Parkinson ex F.A.Zorn) Fosberg). Purpose of Study : This research is intended to know the antidiarrheal effect test infusa combination of avocado seed (Persea Americana mill) and breadfruit leave (Artocarpusaltilis(Parkinson ex F.A.Zorn) Fosberg on the male white mouse galur wistar using the oleum ricini induction method. Research Design : This type of research design used is experimental quantitative research. the method used in this research is the diarrhea protection method induced by oleum ricini. This research used 36 mice as test animals which were divided into 9 treatment groups namely positive control group, negative control group, infusa single of avocado seed, infusa single of breadfruit leave and infusa combination of avocado seed and breadfruit leave in ratio of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 2:1, 3:1. The parameters observed are frequency, consistency and feses weight. The data obtained were analyzed using the ANOVA test and then continued with the Post hoc LSD test. Result of Study : Infusa combination of avocado seed and breadfruit leave with a concentration ratio of 2:1 significantly reduce the consistency and weight of feses but does not significantly reduce the frequency of defecation, whereas infusa of avocado seed and breadfruit leave in the single form less significantly reduce diarrhea. Conclusion: Based on the observation result of infusa combination of avocado seed and breadfruit leave with concentration ration 2:1 can improve the consistency and weight of feses but does not reduce the frequency of defecation
