Abstract

Background: gel peel off mask is one of the ways for skin treatment. PVA have several function to give the effect of peel off for being able to make the film so much easier to release after dry. Jackfruit leaves used as source of antioxidants natural. Purpose of the research: to know the best formula from difference concentration of PVA that tested the antioxidant using DPPH method and vitamin C as standard. Research method: quantitative research is experimental. Result of the research: the result of physical characteristic evaluations include organoleptis formulation 1, 2, 3 is gel, greentea aroma, and green colour. Homogeneous preparations and have a pH formula values is 4,5-5,5. Dry ability is 16-29 minute, glutinous ability is 8 second, spread ability is 4-6 cm. Formula 1, 2, and 3 is enter the requirements of gel peel off mask. Formula 2 is formulation antioxidant tested therefore having pH value base more than formula 1 and have a dry ability longer than formula 3. Result IC50 values of vitamin C is 7,63 µg/L, extract is 26,44 µg/L, and gel peel off mask is 32,68 µg/L,so it can be said gel peel off mask has very strong antioxidants characteristic. Conclusion: gel peel off mask can be used as antioxidants for skin faces treatment. Suggestion: irritation tested and fondness tested to public
