Abstract

Background : An aid of making decision is a standard guide in family planning counseling that serves as a decision maker and that assists in solving the problem in the use of contraceptive . The writer makes an innovation of the aid in the form of an interesting pop- up flipchartthat for clients. The writer can also assist clients to ensure them about the contraceptive that match their needs. Objective : Applying the use of pop-up flipchart as an implant contraceptive counseling media towards Mrs. W, 36 years old with P5A0AH4 in Private Midwifery Clinic of Midwife Apti Rofi'ah at Jemur, Pejagoan, Kebumen. Method : This paper is a qualitative descriptive by using a case study approach. This study was conducted from February to May 2016. The instruments used were interview guidance, observation sheets, and the use of pop-up flip chart. Result : After having counseling about using pop-up flipchart, Mrs . W became more sure in choosing implant contraceptive. At the time of observation, 3 days after the installation of the implant contraceptive, Mrs. W got bruise on the wound of implant placement . Conclusion : Pop-up flipchart can help clients in ensuring the use of implant contraceptive.
