Abstract
Background: Postpartum mothers often have breast pain. This is because of the swelling breast. Nursing care is needed to overcome this problem by applying aloevera gel compress. Objective: To describe a nursing care for postpartum mothers having breast pain. Method: This study is a qualitative descriptive with a case-study approach. Data were collected from interview and observation. The respondents were 3 postpartum mothers. The instruments were observation sheet and pain scale. Result: After having alovera gel compress for 3 days, there was a decrease in breast pain of all participants: from 9 to 5 (participant 1), from 8 to 4 (participant 2), and from 7 to 2 (participant 3). Conclusion: Aloevera gel compress can help decrease the breast pain of postpartum mothers.
