Abstract
Background:. Acute Respiratory Tract is one part of the respiratory tract starting from the nose (upper tract) to the alveoli (lower tract) and includes tissues such as sinuses, ear cavities, and pleura. According to Riskedas (2018), it has been proven that acute respiratory infection (pneumonia) causes death with a percentage of 9.3% in Indonesia and while in Central Java province it reaches a percentage of around 5.99% of people. Objectives: Describing nursing care in the provision of ginger decoction therapy against Upper Respiratory Tract Infections with nursing problems ineffective airway clearance. Methods: This method used descriptive methods, the collectied data was using interview techniques. Respondent in this study were clients who suffered from cough over the age of 17 years. Actions taken by giving ginger and honey decoction therapy with a sample of three respondents measured by effective coughing before giving ginger and honey boiled drinks. Results: After providing education on Ginger and Honey Decoction for 3 days, the three respondents got the results of a decrease in cough with thick phlegm. Education: After giving to the three respondents by providing education on drinking ginger and honey decoction, it was found that there was a decrease in coughing by applying ginger and honey decoction.
