Abstract
Background: The level of the accident that occurred in the school environment with 1,8% of 100 children. Meanwhile other studies states that injuries suffered by high school student is 26,4 % was on the road , 23,1 % happen at school , 28,6 % activity sports and 22 % occur in the home. Objectives: to determinethe influence of the first aid training on the knowledge of youth redcross member to treat fracture at Binangun 1 senior high school of Cilacap. Methods: The present study was an experimental research with one group pretestposttest design. Samples were 30 students as members of youth red cross at Binangun 1 Senior High School of Cilacap. Data were analyzed using marginal homogeneity. Results: The test of marginal homogeneity showed that there was significant differences about the knowledge of youth redcross member to treat fracture before and after attending the first aid training (p<0,05). Conclusion: thetraining of first aid significantly increased the knowledge of youth red cross member to treat fracture.
