Abstract
Background: Elderly (elderly) is someone who reaches the age of > 60 years. One of the changes that occur in the elderly is changes in the cardiovascular system which is the main disease that takes its toll because it will have an impact on other diseases such as hypertension. One of the nonpharmacological treatments for hypertension is relaxation exercises (dhikr). Objective: To describe the results of nursing care for the developmental stage of elderly families with ineffective health care in the elderly with hypertension with the application of dhikr relaxation in the Pesantren, Tambak Methods: This paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study instrument used the nursing care format, the SOP for dhikr, the SOP for measuring health care was not effective. Subjects consisted of 3 elderly families with hypertension. The data were analyzed descriptively on nursing care. Results: Based on the case study, the three patients experienced a decrease in symptoms of hypertension after the application of relaxation dhikr. Patient I experienced a 50% reduction in signs and symptoms. Patient II experienced a 67% reduction in signs and symptoms. Patient III experienced a 75% reduction in signs and symptoms. Based on the case study, the three patients experienced a significant decrease in blood pressure. Patient I experienced a decrease in 11 systolic and 4 diastole. Patient II experienced a decrease of 16 systolic and 10 diastole. Patient III experienced a decrease in 17 systolic and 8 diastole. Recommendation: Community nurses are expected to be able to provide relaxation of dhikr to clients who have hypertension
