Abstract

Background: Immunization in infants can cause pain. To overcome the pain experienced by the baby, it can be done through non-pharmacological interventions, namely by using breastfeeding. Objective: To describe nursing care for pain patients in meeting the need for safety and comfort. Methods: This research uses case study method. The process of collecting data using interview and observation techniques. Respondents of study consisted of 3 infants who would be immunized with DPT-HB-HIB. Breastfeeding is done during immunization to determine the level of pain in infants during immunization. Result: after being given breastfeeding during immunization, the baby’s pain response on average experienced mild pain with a pain scale of 2. Conclusion: The problem of pain in infants during immunization with breastfeeding can reduce pain.
