Abstract

Back ground: Every year is predicted there are 20 million surgical procedure cases about hernia inguinal. Hernia’s patient is predicted always increase in every year for all of age’s stages, starting from children to the old. Purpose: The purpose of this report for explaining about nursing care of safe and comfort needs fulfillment to hernia’s patient post of surgical. Nursing Care: The assessment hasbeen done in tenth of June 2016, the patient said that he felt pain in the surgical wound. Pain increased when he was cough and decrease when he was rest. Pain felt like a stab, it come suddenly, pain scale was 7. Patient looked making a grimace and hold on the surgery areas. The vital sign assessment result are blood pressure 126/70 mmHg, pulse 100x/minutes, respiration rate 16x/minutes, temperature 36,8oC.The interventions and implementations that it has been done: gave relaxation therapy with deep breath exercise and massage, injection therapy of Ketorolac 30 mg, monitor the vital signs, time to rest, and pain. The evaluation in eleventh of June 2016, patient said that the pain has decreased, pain scale was 5. Patient still looked making a grimace when he walk to bathroom and hold on his hand on his stomach. The vital sign assessment result were blood pressure 120/89 mmHg, pulse 82x/minutes, respiration rate 18x/minutes, temperature 36,7oC. The conclusion is the acute pain can be overcome.
