Abstract

Background: Gastritis is a condition of inflammation or bleeding of the gastric mucosa which can be acute, chronic, diffuse, or local. Inflammation of the gastric mucosa in gastritis can cause pain. Purpose: The purpose of this application is to determine the effectiveness of giving warm compresses to gastritis patients. Methods: The design of this research method is to use the case study method. The subjects used were 3 (three) person with a medical diagnosis of gastritis. The application instrument in data collection using a questionnaire and NRS. Data collection uses assessment and intervention. Result: The results of the application showed that after giving warm compresses for 5 day, the pain scale decreased, namely before doing warm compresses the pain scale was 6 and after warm compresses the pain scale became 1. Conclude: Researchers concluded that warm compress therapy is proven to reduce pain in gastritis patients
