Abstract

Background: The Emergency Room is the initial place for patients who need treatment as soon as possible to get medical services. Satisfaction or dissatisfaction, especially with midwifery services in hospitals, is a top priority for hospitals. Feedback on patient dissatisfaction has the effect of decreasing the level of trust in health workers. Response time is a service standard that must be owned by the Emergency Room. Response time is the speed of health workers in dealing with patients, calculated from the patient's arrival until the patient is treated. Objective: To determine the relationship between satisfaction level and service response time in the PONEK room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: This study uses a correlation analytical research method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were patients who came to the PONEK room at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital on an average of 60 patients every month. The number of samples is 45 people. Result: Response time of medical services in the PONEK room of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Gombong was mostly in the good category, with 47 respondents (78.3%). The level of satisfaction of the majority of patients with a very high satisfaction category of 32 respondents was (53.3%). The level of patient satisfaction with the service response time obtained a p-value of 0.00 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.562 with a strong category. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between the level of patient satisfaction with service response time in the PONEK room at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital
