Abstract

Background: They are 50-70% of all postpartum women in Indonesia experience postpartum blues and this can lead to postpartum depression with amounts varying from 5% more than 25%. Involving the husband in the puerperium is one of the efforts that can be done to prevent the occurrence of postpartum blues. This is because husband support is a preventive strategy to reduce stress in postpartum mothers. Research Purpose : To find out the relationship of husband support to the postpartum blues incident in the Rahmah Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Research Method: This method used quantitative research, with a correlational design of a cross-sectional approach. The total population in this study was 200 puerperal mothers. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 133 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In analyzing the data bivariately, data testing was carried out using the Kendal Tau correlation test with a significant level of 95%, Research Result:. The result test statistik Kendal Tau obtained a p-value of 0.002< 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted which means ada relationship of husband support for postpartum blues events in the Rahmah Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Conclusion: there were relationship of husband support for postpartum blues incident in Rahmah Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital.
