Abstract

Backgound: The elderly are at great risk or the range will catch a disease. Elderly diseases usually interfere with cardiovascular system disorders such as hypertension, strokes and other cardiovascular system interference. Hypertension of blood blockage from the heart, arteries and veins that causes headaches in hypertension sufferers was non-pharmacological therapy or alternatives such head massage to help nurses in nursing care lower blood pressure. The head massage is very effective and gives you touch relaxation that can increase concentration and stimulate natural release of endorphin hormones. The head massage is a nursing technique or another way that is used to lower headaches caused by hypertension. Objective: Describes the nursing care given to a client with hypertension that uses head massage to lower high blood pressure and the intensity of pain. Method: The study of this case was conducted on January 6th, 2025 to January 8th , 2025 in the sempor area of community health center region of 1 exactly in the village of sidoharum. This rich scientific writing uses descriptive methods with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The responder here with three clients who have a headache complaint and hypertension health problem. The instrument used is the study format, persistent meter, the observation sheet, and olive oil. Result: After having applied for 3 times the meeting all responders suffered a decrease in blood pressure and intensity of pain. Conclusion: Head massage technique can lower high blood pressure and intensity of pain. Recommendation: Head massage technique can be done for non-pharmacology treatment in older people who have hypertension health problem.
